About Us
Following God’s direction, we believe, that
our mission as the body of Christ is:
“to help everyone find a growing
relationship with Jesus Christ through His
body, the church”
Following the model of the early church in
the book of Acts, there are five purposes
that aid us in accomplishing this mission.
MEMBERSHIP: To connect people to Jesus
Christ and the community of Jesus Christ,
His church.
Peter relied, “Repent and be baptized, every
one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for
the forgiveness of sins. And you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The
promise is for you and your children and for
all who are far off for all whom the Lord
our God will call.” With many other words he
warned them; and he pleaded with them, “save
yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
Those who accepted his message were baptized
and about three thousand were added to their
number that day. They devoted themselves to
the apostle’s teaching and to the
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to
prayer.
Acts 2:38-42 (NIV)
MATURITY: To grow followers of Jesus Christ
into maturity.
We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching
everyone with all wisdom, so that we may
present everyone perfect in Christ. To this
end I labor, struggling with all His energy,
which so powerfully works in me.
Colossians 1:28-29 (NIV)
MINISTRY: To help believers find
significance, purpose and fulfillment
through identifying their gifts using them
for the Kingdom.
It was He who gave some to be apostles, some
to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and
some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare
God’s people for works of service, so that
the body of Christ may be built up until we
all reach unity in the faith in the
knowledge of the Son of God and become
mature, attaining to the whole measure of
the fullness of Christ. Then we will no
longer be infants, tossed back and forth by
the waves, and blown here and there by every
wind of teaching and by the cunning and
craftiness of men in their deceitful
scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in
love, we will in all things grow up into Him
who is the head that is Christ. From Him the
whole body, joined and held together by
every supporting ligament, grows and builds
itself up in love, as each part does its
work.
Ephesians 4:11-16 (NIV
MISSION: To inspire believers to fulfill the
great commission in our community, country
and the world.
But you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes on you; and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
MAGNIFICATION: To lead people in expressing
love, joy, appreciation and commitment to
God (worship).
But I, when I am lifted up from the earth,
will draw all men to myself.
John 12:32 (NIV) |
